Modern cars are now using alternating current to power on board systems including headlights, this AC trend is seen most commonly in European cars (most Japanese cars will not require this).

HID systems require constant current, as failure to secure constant current within the HID itself, may lead to ballast failure.

This product is compatible with a majority of cars that rely upon the CAN BUS system.
